THE 2010 WESTERN VIRGINIA ADDY® AWARDS

  • Entry deadline is January 7, 2010.
  • It's easy to enter online. Just print out your final paperwork and bring it with you when you drop off your entries.
  • MAIN Drop Off: January 7, 4-6pm. The Roanoke Higher Ed Center, 108 N. Jefferson St., Roanoke, VA 24016.
  • EARLY NRV Drop Off: January 6, 4-6pm.  Exemplum, 1750 Kraft Drive, Blacksburg, VA, 24060. 540-552-5520.
  • EARLY Lynchburg Drop Off: January 6, 4-6pm.  Prototype Advertising, 1035 Avalon Drive, Forest, VA, 24551. 434-846-2333.
  • NOTE: ALL ENTRIES must be received by AdFed in Roanoke by the close of the main drop off. No exceptions. No late entries.

ENTRY RULES AND GUIDELINES

The ADDY® Awards recognizes excellence in creativity in every facet of advertising. There are categories for print, radio, television and interactive categories. For a complete list of categories and detailed entry instructions, Download the ADDY® Rules Handbook


ENTRY FEES

Entry deadline is January 7, 2010. 

  • Members: $60 per single entry or campaign
  • Non-members: $100 per single entry or campaign
  • Students: $10 per single entry or campaign. New bonus plan: for every two entries you pay for, you will now receive a bonus entry free! Pay for two, get one free. Pay for six, get three free. There's no limit. (Note: the ADDY system will want to charge you $10 for EACH entry, with no free bonus. So just adjust your payment amount accordingly, and pay by check when you drop off your entries.) 
  • Payment can be made online using a credit card or by check on January 7th at the Drop Off.

ADDY® AWARDS GALA AND CELEBRATION

Mark your calendars. March 6, 2010 at Center in the Square in Roanoke, Virginia. NEW SCHEDULE. NOTE: Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at 6pm. Awards presentation begins promptly at 6:30pm.

3-TIER COMPETITION

The Western Virginia ADDY® Awards the first step in a 3-tier national compeition sponsored by The American Advertising Federation (AAF), a not-for-profit industry association. It is the only creative awards program administered by the advertising industry for the industry. All Gold ADDY® winning entries are automatically forwarded to the Third District ADDY® competition with a chance to compete for a national award.


ADVERTISING PERSON OF THE YEAR

This award recognizes outstanding contributions to the field of advertising, marketing and design in western Virginia. The recipient of this award embodies the professionalism, dedication and creativity that are at the heart of the advertising profession. Nominations are due by Friday, February 5, 2010.
